Refurbished Product Policy
0. Your statutory rights
Refurbished products are goods within the meaning of the German Civil Code. You have the full statutory rights in the event of a lack of conformity (Sections 434 et seq. BGB, two years from delivery); exercising them is free of charge and they are not limited in time or in substance by this policy, including sections 7 and 8. Your statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days applies to refurbished products in the same way as to new products; details are set out in our Right of Withdrawal policy.
The commercial guarantee described in section 6 exists in addition to those statutory rights and does not limit them. It is granted by Hurom Europe GmbH, Weberstraße 19, 65779 Kelkheim (Taunus), Germany, and applies in the countries to which we deliver under our Shipping and Returns policy.
1. Definition of Refurbished Products
(1) Refurbished products are items that have been returned, used for display, testing, or affected by logistics handling, and have been inspected, restored, and certified according to Hurom's quality standards before being offered for resale.
(2) All refurbished products undergo a thorough inspection process at Hurom's dedicated refurbishment center.
(3) Although refurbished products are not brand new, only products that meet Hurom's quality standards are made available for sale.
2. Quality Grading Standards
(1) Hurom refurbished products are sold under the A Grade standard.
(2) A Grade products are in near-new cosmetic condition.
(3) Minor scratches or external blemishes may be present but do not affect the product's performance.
(4) Minor cosmetic imperfections described under (3) are not covered by the commercial guarantee under section 6. This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of a lack of conformity.
3. Quality Inspection and Performance Guarantee
(1) All refurbished products are inspected, tested, and graded at Hurom's refurbishment center.
(2) Every refurbished product is guaranteed to be fully functional.
Products with performance issues or reduced functionality are not offered for sale.
(3) All products undergo comprehensive testing of key functions before shipment.
4. Genuine Parts Policy
(1) Only genuine Hurom parts are used during the refurbishment process.
(2) Non-genuine components that do not meet Hurom's quality standards are not used.
5. After-Sales Service (A/S)
Refurbished products are covered by the same customer service and after-sales support process as new products. Customers may access support through Hurom's official service channels.
6. Warranty Policy
Refurbished products are covered by a commercial guarantee of the same duration as the equivalent new product model. The guarantee period runs from the date on which the refurbished unit is delivered to you, and the conditions set out in Sect. 6 of our General Terms and Conditions (GTC) (registration of the product on the Hurom Europe website, proof of purchase) apply accordingly. Product defects that occur under normal use during the warranty period may be eligible for warranty service.
Warranty Exclusions
- Drops, impacts, or other accidental damage
- Water damage or liquid ingress
- Misuse or operation outside the instructions provided in the user manual
- Unauthorized disassembly, modification, or repair
- Any other damage caused by customer negligence or misuse
- Consumable parts such as silicone parts, juice and pulp containers and cleaning brushes, as well as wear parts (the warranty exclusions under Section 6 of our GTC apply accordingly)
7. Returns and Right of Withdrawal
Your statutory right of withdrawal (14 days) applies to refurbished products in the same way as to new products; the period, the procedure and the withdrawal form are set out in our Right of Withdrawal policy. Beyond that statutory right there is no contractual right of return or exchange. The following provisions merely describe how we handle returns under the right of withdrawal and under the liability for defects.
Shipping costs are governed by our Shipping and Returns policy. Where you exercise your right of withdrawal you bear the direct cost of returning the goods; where the goods are defective, Hurom bears that cost.
8. Refund Conditions
(1) Returned products must be in the same condition as when received.
(2) Use beyond what is reasonably necessary to evaluate the product may result in a reduction of the refund amount.
(3) Refunds may be reduced if the product is damaged, excessively used, contaminated, or missing components.
(4) The final refund amount will be determined after inspection of the returned product.
9. Returns and Refunds for Defective Products
(1) Products confirmed to have functional defects or quality issues are eligible for free return service.
(2) Customers may request a replacement or refund for verified defective products.
(3) Hurom will cover the return shipping cost for products determined to be defective.
10. Replacement of Defective Products
(1) A replacement of defective products (Section 9) is available when the same model is in stock. If the same model is unavailable, a refund will be provided.
(2) Refurbished products are sold based on recovered and restored inventory, and therefore quantities are limited.
(3) Continued availability or future restocking of the same product is not guaranteed.
11. Pricing Policy
(1) Discounts on refurbished products may vary depending on inventory levels, promotional campaigns, and marketing activities.
(2) Price adjustments, refunds, or compensation will not be provided for promotions or price changes that occur after purchase.
(3) Where we announce a price reduction for a refurbished product, we state the lowest total price that we applied for that product during the 30 days before the reduction. Personalised price reductions granted to you individually (for example a welcome or referral discount code under the hurome Membership Program) are not price reductions within the meaning of this paragraph.
12. Inventory Policy
Refurbished products are available in limited quantities. Products may sell out without prior notice. Restocking of sold-out products is not guaranteed.
13. Packaging
(1) Refurbished products include all components necessary for normal operation.
(2) Some products may be supplied in refurbished-specific packaging or alternative packaging materials.
(3) Packaging differences do not affect product quality or performance.
14. Product Registration and Service History
(1) All refurbished products are managed through a unique serial number.
(2) Warranty eligibility and service history can be verified using the serial number.
(3) Proof of purchase or product information may be required when requesting service.
15. Sustainability and Environmental Commitment
(1) Hurom's Refurbished Program helps extend product lifecycles and reduce unnecessary waste.
(2) Choosing a refurbished product supports sustainable consumption by reducing electronic waste and promoting resource efficiency.
(3) Hurom is committed to delivering both quality and environmental value through its refurbished product program.
(4) Hurom Refurbished products provide a reliable and sustainable alternative.
16. hurome Membership Program
Points are earned on refurbished products in accordance with Section 3.2 of the hurome Membership Program Terms and Conditions. Discount codes converted from points cannot be applied to refurbished products, which are designated as products excluded from redemption. This designation is shown on each product detail page before the order is placed. See Section 3.6.1 of those Terms.
